Omaha is globally renowned for being home to significant Fortune 500 companies, the College World Series,
“Wild Kingdoms” and the like. Built on a tradition of strong business ethics, some have wondered if there
is “something in the water” that encourages honesty, respect and accountability no matter the cost.
It is our goal to leverage this tradition and propel Omaha into a world class center for Superior Business Ethics.
To this end, and in direct response to the demands of community leadership, the College of Business Administration
at Creighton University has joined forces with The Omaha Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau in

Mission |
|
The Ethics Alliance is a collaboration of local organizations that lead in developing the awareness, understanding,
training, and measures necessary to enable organizational compliance, ethical practices, and an ethical climate of
excellence throughout the business community.

The mission of the Greater Omaha Alliance for Business Ethics is to establish worldwide, Omaha as the center of business ethics excellence and corporate citizenship.

Stratigic Goals |
| Leadership - |
Develop and support cohesive groups of enlightened and skilled business leaders engaged in the practice of
business ethics and corporate citizenship who apply these principles to their organizations, and thus, create
added business value, growth, and wealth/prosperity to their organizations and community.. |

Implement programs that raise awareness, share “best practices” and provide ongoing, tangible
education about ethical business behavior and corporate citizenship. |

discussions about specific, and relevant, business ethics topics. |

Structure |
|
The Ethics Alliance is affiliated with Creighton University’s College of Business Administration in
cooperation with the Better Business Bureau and the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce. It is filing
for independent 501c3 not-for-profit status.

Governance |
|
Board of Trustees: Organizations represented on the Board of Trustees are chosen for demonstrated
excellence in the areas business ethics leadership, projects and programs within an organization and
community at large. It is our goal to have a diverse group of trustees representing a variety of industry
segments and company sizes. The Board of Trustees will be nominated and chosen by the Ethics Alliance Governing
Board. Robert Bates has been selected the first Chair of the Board of Trustees.

Governing Board: |
|
The Governing Board consists of 10-15 individuals who have led previous Ethics Alliance programs, instigated
ethics programs within their organizations and presently serve as Committee Chair or Board of Trustees members.
The Board meets quarterly to determine strategy and policy that maintains the Ethics Alliance’s mission and vision.
The following committees are currently in operation: Programs and Projects, Communications and Finance.
